Staalplaat Sound System, July 1st 2004.

Staalplaat Sound System (Amsterdam), 2-track mono recorded.
Thursday July 1st 2004, ‘haagse School Voor De Kunsten’, The Hague.
Tracks:Impression.

Note: While interviewing the organising team of ‘state X-New Forms’ festival, they took me to one of the festival-sites, to get a preview. This was the moving sound-installation of Geert-Jan Hobeijn, of experimental sound-collective and label ‘Staalplaat’. I wandered between intriguing constructions made of supermarket trollyes, fans, vacüum-cleaners, teaspoons, plastic bottles and all kinds of other noisy materials and recorded a 6’23” lasting impression, which was aired during the broadcast of the interview the next day. Considered lost, I rediscovered it on one of many improper marked minidiscs in my archive (Nov 2010).
