Sommerhus (Rotterdam), In Session.
Recorded: Friday February 12th 2016, ‘Gouwestad Radio Studio 2.
Tracks: On Returning (Take 1, breakdown)/On Returning (Take 2)/Haunting/Lost For Words/Dreamer’s Street/Nancy’s Wish/Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Love?/Denmark (Take 1, breakdown)/Denmark (Take 2).
Note: Being booked for the avening, Vera and Peter came to the studio in the early afternoon, to record this session, plus an interview to promote their latest release ‘Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Love?’. As some sound problems caused the first song to break down, the last track eeded a retake, as half of the duo forgot the melody for a moment. Aired that same day.

Sommerhus, 'In Session', Thursday November 21st 2013.
Sommerhus (Rotterdam), In Session.
Recorded: November 21st 2013, ‘Gouwestad Radio Studio 2.
Tracks: Denmark (Tk 1-2)/Only You Do/Song Of Worry/Shht.
Note: Vera and Peter Jessen – Juhrend came to the studio for a fourth chat and liveset on this Thursday night, as other commitments prevented them from appearing live, while longer delay wasn’t the thing they preferred. They were far too ewager not to come and talk about their re-incarnation ‘Sommerhus’, which came as a natural follow-up to their previous ‘Vera’ band. Recorded as a liveshow, they interrupted the great interview with 4 truly great, jazzy tracks. First track, the instrumental ‘Denmark’ broke down and was redone right away.

Vera, Friday September 9th 2011.
Vera (Rotterdam), live on air.
Recorded: September 9th2011, ‘Gouwestad Radio Studio 2.
Tracks: Lazy People/Kiss & Tell/Bubbles & Bones
Note: To promote her second album ‘Bubbles & Bones’ (releasedate Sept 19th 2011), Vera and Peter dropped by for a third interview and beautifull liveset with acoustic guitar, upright bass and vocals. Concentrated and singing with closed eyes, they performed three songs from the album, inbetween trying to refill the parking meter. This didn’t happen, as it was the annual ‘Goudse Singel Run’, which meant the studio was isolated by 2200 running people from the rest of the market square. Fortunately the meter maids were watching the runners, instead of writing tickets.

Vera, January 11th 2008.
Vera (Rotterdam), live on air.
Recorded: January 11th 2008. Studio 2.
Tracks: Probably/Bathroom Door/Bedtime Worries.
Note: Vera Juhrend approached me through ‘MySpace’ and sort of invited herself to the show. She brought along bassplayer Peter Jessen and did a very nice session. During ‘Bedtime Worries’, she forgot her lines, but it ended up very well. Vera is backed by Peter’s other band ‘Trio Raskolnokov’, which also features former ‘Spasmodique’-singer Mark Ritsema.

Vera (Rotterdam), live on air.
Recorded: May 8th 2009. Studio 2.
Tracks: Bedtime Worries/Bathroom Door/Not Lost.
Note: A musically developped Vera re-visited the show to promote her debut-CD, which was released in ‘Watt’ Rotterdam three days later with a gig with her backing band ‘Trio Raskolnikov’. Bassplayer Peter Jessen joined her in the studio for another interview and some livetracks. Again inviting themselves, as they liked the previous visit so much. (Blushing …)
