Note: this female fronted rockband from Amsterdam dropped by the studio for a prerecorded interview and three acoustic songs, prior to their gig in local club ‘Studio Gonz’. First ever acoustic set came out greatly. First sonmg was retaped, as there were a few mistakes. As the whole thing was filmed by the band, a videoclip of ‘Half A Heart’ was published on Youtube the next day, merging images of both takes over the second audio take. Great warming up for the set they played later that night.

Rob Klerkx & The Secret 'In Session', Saturday december 27th 2014.

Recorded: Saturday December 27th 2014, ‘Gouwestad Radio Studio 2.
Tracks: Wait For Me/America & Me/Carry My Love/Come Home.
Note: on his way to a local instore to promote his October 2014 album ‘Magnolia’, Rob and his band came to the studio for a chat and four acoustic songs. The whole thing was recorded as if it was a live show, taking a bit more time than when aired live. So the last track exceeded the time available when aired, which was solved by airing it on following shows.

Note: to promote his album ‘Final Desire’, released the day before at ‘Paradiso’ Amsterdam, ‘Moke’-drummer Rob Klerkx dropped into the program with Jaromir Fernig and Herman Wilken, all on guitars, after partly defeating evening traffic. Despite coming in the studio halfway the show, we had a great interview and the trio did three great new tracks live.

Note: As the band had live-commitments that night, they dropped by in the early afternoon for an interview and 4 steaming acoustic live tracks from his then forthcoming second CD ‘Undertones’, broadcasted later that night. Klerkx & The Secret were this session Rob Klerkx (Voc/Guitar), Jaromir Fernig (Slide and electric Guitar) and Gideon Ferrero (Acoustic bass). After celebrating Rob’s 40th birthday with pie and non alcoholic bubbles, we set to work and recorded everything in a single take, with the band recording a brandnew track as well.

Note: Rob Klerkx used to drum in ‘Supersub’ and now plays drums in bands like ‘Paulusma’, ‘KGB’ and ofcourse ‘Moke’. After releasing his 2006 EP ‘New Roads’, I contacted him and he proposed to drop by for an interview plus acooustic liveset. Jaromir Fernig joined him on electric guitar, making me stumble over his name.

Speaking of the rise of ‘Moke’ and his planned solo-CD, he played several new tracks during a very relaxed set.

Note: Almost exactly one year after his porevious visit Rob Klerkx of ‘Supersub’, ‘Paulusma’, ‘KGB’ and ‘Moke’-fame, returned to the studio with Jaromir for his third interview and liveset. As the show was scheduled for broadcasting October 23rd, he took the opportunity to re-record ‘City Burns’, being dissatisfied with the initial version. During the very relaxed interview he spoke about his June released album ‘Unleash’, his work with Jelle Paulusma and second ‘Moke’-album ‘The Long And Dangerous Sea’. One week after broadcast, he played an intense instore in Gouda, arranged this day.
