Note: Gouda’s educational kiddy farmhouse was threatened with closure, after the city council decided to cut severely on their subsidising. To raise money, they held some benefits. As they couldn’t arrange a soundman for this night, I was asked to help out. Occupied that night, I passed it on to my radio collegue Ton Dekker, who did the job and also recorded all sets. Jana and friends were the first to play a set of covers.

Note: Fuelled up by her performances during ‘The Voice Of Holland’ TV shows, Pip worked hard on her own set of songs, which she played this night. She was in the middle of a crowdfunding to get her debut-EP financed. This EP was released in November 2015 and contained most of the tracks played this night.

Note: things went fast and great with Pip after her previous visit to the studio: she joined a local fgestival, which not only made her meet the love of her life, but also got her in touch with a group of creative musicians. Which were quite supportive, when she was selected for nationwide TV show ‘The Voice Of Holland’, which she left before the Battles started. Concventrating on a possible musical career, she funded her upcoming single and video clip by pl;aying livingroom concerts. To promote these, she took Justin to the studio, to tell more and to play four songs. Despite being quite tired, they worked out very well.
