Nancy Brick 'Live On Air', Friday October 5th 2012.

Nancy Brick (Delft/Gouda), live on air.
Recorded: October 5th 2012, ‘Gouwestad Radio Studio 2.
Tracks: Pirate’s Ocean/Turner.

Note: 13 months after they kicked off their livingroom-tour in my show, they decided it was the most natural thing to officially do the radio-presentation of their debut-album ‘Nancy Brick’ in my show as well. Flattered as hell, I simply couldn't decline ofcourse. The chat was great and listening to some tracks for the first time amazing. Inbetween, they also played two tracks live, which really made the day!

Nancy Brick, Friday September 2nd 2011.

Nancy Brick (Gouda/Delft), live on air.
Recorded: September 2nd 2011, ‘Gouwestad Radio Studio 2.
Tracks: The Mountain/Pirate’s Ocean/The Road

Note: Risen from the ashes of ‘Corbelijn’, guitarist Ron Valeri and vocalist Rieneke Batelaan (a.k.a. Amie Maranth, a.k.a. Pien) decided to continue playing as a duo. For over a year they wrote their serene, slightly moody and fragile songs, occasionally playing a livingroom set, to see if tjings work. This night they kicked off trheir official string of performances, with an interview and three small songs, with just an acoustic guitar and a single voice.

Amie Maranth, October 3rd 2003.

Amie Maranth (Gouda), live on air.
Recorded: October 3rd 2003. Studio 2.
Tracks: Warming Sun/Little Signs/A Moment In Time.

Note: Riene Batelaan a.k.a. Amie Maranth a.k.a. Pienn, is a very talented and awarded Singer-Songwriter from Gouda, which I got to know, when managing her brother’s band ‘Lame Art’. After meeting her during a summer market in Gouda center, I invited her to drop by for an interview and some beautifull songs.

Pienn, July 4th 2008.

Pienn (Gouda), live on air.
Recorded: July 4th 2008. Studio 2.
Tracks: Yellow Cab/Want You/Courage.

Note: Pienn a.k.a. Riene Batelaan a.k.a. Amie Maranth, is a very talented and awarded Singer-Songwriter from Gouda, which I got to know, when managing her brother’s band ‘Lame Art’. She turned up halfway the show with her brother Gijs Batelaan, who is a rising Jazz Guitarist in Holland. After Gijs struck a false chord, Pienn burst into laughter, destroying several attempts to sing ‘Courage’ and ‘want You’. Despite this, they concluded the set without further delay.
